Safety skills on a river

Kayaking has been viewed by many as unsafe and an uncalculated risky sport. Join me and my crew to learn how to practice safe kayaking and how to pick out hazards on the river or around our water ways. Let us work through the facts with you so you too can enjoy the pleasures of the water.

Grade 2 certificates 

For events such as the Speights Coast to Coast - the grade two certificate is essential. Collect your grade two cert from instructors that are true kayakers. We spend our spare time kayaking rivers up to grade 5, compete in world class events, have the experience in racing multisport kayaks and have been teaching kayakers the new skills that you need for safe paddling.

Kayak trips

Wanting to get your pulse up, whether that be for training for a race or for the excitement of a white water rapid or sea kayaking then this one is for you. We talk - you tell me what sort of kayak excites you and I will plan the adventure. I have plenty to offer and more hidden up my sleeve so don't be shy...

Cruisey float trips

Looking for a nice day out on the water? Maybe the weather is fine/hot and you want to have some swims along the way? If this sounds appetising, the float trip is for you. Lunch/cuppa stops along the way at destinations only accessible by kayak and scenery that will take your breath away. A great way to enjoy what NZ has to offer and get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. 

Rafting fun

Prepare to suffer from stomach ache and sore cheeks after the hysterics of watching your team mates raft take on water and sink or fall to pieces from shoddy knots. This is a fantastic team building exercise or just a great excuse to keep the good old Kiwi ingenuity alive and enjoy playing in or on top of the water. Awesome for all ages and as a family day out as well.
